Are pets allowed?

Yes, we allow dogs in all of our accommodation. If you wish to bring another pet (e.g. a cat) please get in touch to confirm suitability. 

What activities can I do nearby? 

Shropshire has loads to offer visitors. We send all guests a comprehensive guide book with all the best local attractions, activities, eateries and much more. If you want to take a sneak peak to plan your stay you can click here. 

Is the Hot Tub included? 

The hot tub is included with all Shepherd's Huts bookings. If you are staying in the Safari Tent please make sure you have selected the hot tub as an extra during checkout. There is no hot tub available at Hatton Grove. 

Is there electricity and hot water?

Yes, all accommodations have lighting and sockets as well as hot water.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes, our quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am so that all of our guests can enjoy the peace that Acton Scott Escapes has to offer. 

Are there walks nearby?

Yes, there are plenty of footpaths around Acton Scott Estate and beyond suitable for a variety of abilities. Maps are available to borrow from the on-site shop. 

How long does the Hot Tub take to heat up?

Please allow 3 hours for the hot tub to heat up. If you need any help lighting the fire, please ask your host.

Can I use the Hot Tub on my first night?

Yes, if the hot tub is booked we aim to have the fire lit and the tub up to temperature by 6pm on the day of your arrival. If you do not wish to use the hot tub on your first night, please let your host know to save unnecessary waste. 

Is charcoal for the BBQ provided?

We do not provide free charcoal but we have bags of locally produced charcoal available to purchase in our on-site shop. 

I'm having a large get together. Can I book multiple accommodation units? 

Yes, please get in touch with us first for a quote as we are able to offer discounts for large bookings. 

Can I have a stag or hen party on site? 

Our site is strictly unsuitable for stag or hen parties due to noise constraints. 

I'm staying in the Safari Tent - do I need to bring warm clothing?

It is a good idea to bring warmer clothing especially for the nights when the temperature drops, even in the summertime. There is a wood burning stove to provide warmth and a hot water bottle for each bed. 

Is there a damage deposit? 

Yes, a damage deposit of £150 will be held on your payment card the day before you arrive. This will show as a pending transaction on your account and as long as there are no damages caused during your stay the payment will be cancelled 3 days after departure.
